About Me
Hi! My name is Nancy and I am the proud founder of Therapy Connection. I am an intuitive animal healer and communicator that specializes in alternative and holistic animal care for horses, dogs, and cats.

Therapy Connection was created from a place of passion and purpose to help animals to become all that they can be. I have been a pet parent of horses, dogs and cats for over 40 years. Assisting animals in need has always been a priority for me.
I have a diverse background and a complex skill set. I acquired a BSc. in Psychology, a BSc. in Rehabilitation Medicine in Occupational Therapy, and have been certified in TruTouch Therapy.
For me, being intuitive means perceiving and experiencing the world in unique ways that go beyond the ordinary. I use several modalities to assist animals that are suffering from unresolved health issues such as arthritis, movement difficulties, emotional disturbances, joint pain, anxiety, and/or transition challenges. I can also assist with guidance on the use of specific nutrition, supplements, and natural remedies to provide support for true health tailored to your companion.

I’ve worked with countless animals, and each session brings its own unique and fascinating experience. Holistic Services
Physical Health
I use a number of modalities, including manual alignment, to treat abnormal posture, irregular gait, and/or movement. Difficulty getting up and down, struggling to get in the car/truck, and trouble completing stairs will be addressed. Injuries resulting from falls, training or other activities will be assessed and treated.
Mental and Emotional Health
Have you noticed a change in personality, loss of interest in activities, barking, anxiety, accidents in the house, or not getting along with other animals or children? Is your animal experiencing a decline in their mental and emotional well-being? Techniques will be utilized that help your pet release stuck emotions that affect their mental health. I will connect with them to find out why, and give you practical solutions and recommendations.

Have you ever wondered what your animal is feeling, thinking, or why they behave a certain way? I will connect with your animal and communicate with them to find out the answers you need. This will help contribute to increased joy and vitality in their life, not to mention their heart and soul. The peace and harmony can be restored in your household and your worries about your animal eased.

My dog Sahara was a rescue and so like many people I had the double-challenge of her having “baggage” and me not knowing her history and what she’d been through, so this left me worried and frustrated because I could see she wasn’t doing very well but I didn’t know what to do or how best to help her.
Then we were referred to Nancy, and she guided us through our challenging times and turned them into one of the happiest parts of my life. Nancy has such been a huge miracle for us and literally one of the best things to ever happen for me and Sahara, and so I can’t recommend her enough.
For example, before working with Nancy my dog Sahara was having consistent problems with her eating and digestion but Nancy was able to pinpoint the exact right foods for her and since then Sahara’s been eating like a champ with very few digestive issues. Also, before working with Nancy, Sahara was having hip problems and wasn’t able to go up or down stairs very well, but now, she navigates stairs with more confidence and ease and her overall movement is better. And there were so many confusing behaviours that Sahara used to have that I didn’t know how to interpret or respond to appropriately, but with Nancy’s help we figured out pretty much everything and now Sahara and I have such a wonderful relationship where we just “get” each other and everything makes sense.
To summarize, through working with Nancy, my dog Sahara is so much happier and healthier now, and my relationship with her now matches the fantasy in my mind that I was hoping to find when I started fostering dogs. All of this has been a game-changer for us and I couldn’t be more thankful and grateful that we found someone like Nancy who has a true gift that goes so far beyond what I’d found with the other vets, trainers, and coaches I’d worked with. You don’t know what you don’t know, until you know! And THEN, you must come with an open heart and open mind.
For a LONG time we have struggled with Rev at shows getting his correct lead and collecting. When it was pointed out that this gelding was doing everything in his big heart to accomplish what my daughter was asking despite being physiologically unable to do so, we were left with trying to find a solution.
Enter Nancy Haverstock from Therapy Connection. I have worked with equine chiropractors before, and really like them! But she was different! At first, it all seemed a little “woo-woo“ but very quickly there were results we could not argue with! And today, my daughter had the gift of experiencing a horse that could go on the correct lead every time she asked for the canter and maintain a frame that was notably improved!
Despite multiple clinics, tack changes, riding circles and circles and circles, it wasn’t until we had the gift of “Nancy“ that my daughter’s confidence could come back in the saddle, and her connection with Rev was restored!

Are you a pet therapist?
Yes, I am a pet therapist. I am an intuitive animal healer and communicator that assists pets physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to heal and become their best version.

How does communication work?
Communication with an animal is the accumulation of all my gifts. I utilize the following techniques:

clairvoyance (seeing visions)
-
clairaudience (hearing words, sounds, or music)
-
clairsentience (feeling other’s emotions and feelings)
-
claircognizance (knowing things that you wouldn’t otherwise know).
I sometimes hear a pet’s voice or they show me a picture/vision. It is like a dance between the animal and I exchanging questions and answers.​

What happens in a session?
In a session I will connect with your pet at your home or distantly. I will use different modalities to assist me in finding out what your pet requires and how I can help. It is best if I can work with your pet in a calm, quiet, and warm place. I request that no more than 2 people be present during the session to limit distractions. After the session, I will provide you with written recommendations. I frequently suggest natural remedies that are very safe for pets, and in fact my own pets are on the same products. I will provide you with a plan on how to start the healing process for your pet and book our next appointment.

How many sessions does it usually take to see results?
Some pet parents can start to see small changes after one session, but usually after 3 sessions there are more long-lasting changes. Continued maintenance is recommended so that your pet can continue to have the best quality of health and life with you.

My pet gets very upset when I leave the house. What can I do to reassure them I am coming back?
Tell your pet you will be back at the end of the day. If possible use sunsets to describe your time away. For instance, I am going to work I will be back before sunset or we are going on vacation and will be back in 6 sunsets.​

When is payment due and what types of payment do you accept? Do you take payment plans?
Payment is due upon completion of the wellness session. Therapy Connection takes cash and e-transfers. Payment plans can be arranged for packaged sessions.

What happens when I need to cancel?
Please provide 48 hours notice if an appointment needs to be cancelled. I do understand that emergencies can happen and that extended notice can not be provided.
